I am the American Flag

Though these past few months, some have dared to trample me, burn me, yes; I have even been spat upon; to these few I say, TAKE HEED; for by your actions, you have sacrilegiously disturbed the sleep of all who have defended me since 1776; all who have paid the supreme sacrifice; all who given of their lives, so that you few individuals can revile me and vent your wrath upon me. Yet, through these many years, I have witnessed hope and joy, tears and pride. I have given strength to the weak and a purpose to the strong. I shall continue to endure for all free men and women, for I am THE AMERICAN FLAG!.
