Welcome Aboard To All
prospective Young Marines and their Parents: |

|
Enclosed you will find all
the necessary forms needed to enroll in this Company of Young Marines.
Parents please read and make sure all sections that pertain to you child (or
Children) are filled out and returned as soon as possible to us, call and we
will make arrangements to meet and pick up the package. |
||||
|
Make sure you enclose a
check for the amount of $75.00 made out to the Annapolis Young Marines.
(This is NON-REFUNDABLE & TAX DEDUCIBLE). This is for their insurance
($1,000,000) health & medical while your child is performing duties as a
Young marine, also he or she will receive a Utility Cap, Young Marine patch,
their unit patch, a red T-shirt and a pair of blousing garters, & name tags.
This amount also includes their yearly National dues and their yearly unit
dues, which is used to help finance any field trips the unit chooses to go
on. |

Their BDU uniforms, boots,
are your responsibility to purchase. They can be purchased at Sunny's
Surplus, Wal-Mart or any store you wish. |

|
Your Child is enrolling in
a youth program of the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Corps
League and therefore will have to comply with the STANDARDS set by the
Marine Corps and its Proud History. Your child is under NO OBLIGATION to
enlist in the Marine Corps at any time even through some have gone on to the
Corps and other branches of the military and a few have gone on to the
various Military Academies. |

You as PARENTS are
responsible to see that your Young Marine arrives for training on time and
in the proper uniform, which includes haircut as described in the Young
Marine Uniform regulations. We ask that the disciplines taught by our
instructors be continued & encouraged at home and we will so advise OUR
Young Marines. Also we ANNAPOLIS YOUNG MARINES of ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MARYLAND
wish to assure you the parents that the Young Marine program is very
concerned about your child's' education and at no time will we interfere
with their education and we wish to know of any problems in this area. YOUR
CHILDS EDUCATION COMES FIRST I!!!! |

Our instructor staff are
all active duty Marines and are part of the Naval Academy Guard detail. They
are the top of the line and are trained in their various fields of
instruction. |

|
We of the Command Staff are
here to answer any questions you as parents might have or your child might
have concerning the Young Marine Program. Please call us at any time if
their is a problem or question that you may have concerning attendance,
uniforms, training, etc. |
